Hood is currently a Sophomore at Montclair High School. He has a deep knowledge and passion for various subjects, particularly computer science (with a focus on cybersecurity), mathematics, and writing. His expertise in these areas allows him to provide comprehensive and insightful guidance to his students, making difficult concepts more enjoyable to learn. His teaching style is patient and approachable, catering to each student's unique needs and learning preferences. Outside of academics, Hood is on the HS rowing team and frequents the gym at the YMCA. In his leisure time, Hood enjoys listening to music and playing chess and is in the process of creating an online business to help children enjoy coloring.

I’m a sophomore at Montclair High School and I’m currently enrolled in one of its smaller learning communities, the Civics & Government Institute(CGI). I’m into history, science and math and love a good challenge, whether it’s AP Chemistry, climbing Mt. Elbert or crushing my competition in Madden?. I’ve been tutoring for 3 years now and love to help others learn strategies to succeed. I’m a sports fanatic and a die hard Giants fan, but I’m still willing to tutor a Patriots loyalist. In my free time, I love to hang with friends, play tennis, box, ski, hike, listen to music and watch standup comedy.

Jake is currently a sophomore at Montclair High School. His eclectic academic interests include World War II history, chemistry, and statistics.

Jake’s aptitude for mathematics motivated him to start tutoring younger students over 4 years ago. He loves the challenge of keeping the subject matter interesting and engaging for other students while teaching them strategies to succeed. This summer, Jake is looking forward to broadening his own knowledge of statistics and is attending a sports analytics program at the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. Outside of academics, Jake is passionate about sports and a fan of many leagues; football, soccer, baseball, basketball and hockey. He bleeds blue for the NY Giants but is willing to put sports talk on the backburner for a Dallas Cowboy fan struggling in math. Jake also plays tennis for his school’s JV team and practices boxing regularly. He is a music lover, nature explorer and has a deep appreciation for standup comedy.

Preston is currently a Sophomore at Montclair High School. He is an honor roll student who has had a passion for education his entire life, with a deep focus in history and mathematics. Preston has been tutoring math for over 4 years, as well as other subject matter including history, English and science. His patient and kind approach with students, combined with his expertise, fosters a positive and comfortable learning environment with a supportive atmosphere. Preston is an avid soccer fan and enjoys playing as well as being a spectator. His favorite team is Manchester City FC based in Greater Manchester, England and his knowledge about them runs deep. He is also the manager of the Montclair High School soccer team. Preston is an active member of Montclair High School’s Black Student Union since his freshman year. In the rest of his free time, he enjoys other sports, music, cooking, superheroes, movies and tv shows.
